The Hookah, Napping, Gaming, TV watching & Goodbyes.

Friday was a lot of smiles and stories. While Kate & Shay settled in, Erin and I ran some errands and picked up a Hookah! It's so pretty. We should be able to test it out soon. I took the girls to dinner (although they paid & I appreciated it). We went to Mexicali, they were looking for some good guacamole, hopefully that satisfied their pallates. About 20 minutes after being seated, one of our wonderous rolling blackouts occurred. It was still daylight out, so it was more like mood lighting than anything. We laughed, continued munching on chips and our drinks, patiently waiting. About 30 minutes pasted and the light from the outside was fading. It was kinda hard to see our food and Kates' chicken was undercooked but all lighting a side we had a good time talking. As the resturant was now emptying, the light came on and we finished up and headed out. We wandered around Borders, they stocked up for the rest of their trip and we headed home.

Everyone was pretty tired so we sat around and watched misc. things on TV then headed off to bed. The next morning, I made a big breakfast and we laid around. Erin made some of her famous bar-b-que pizza and we snacked on that most of the afternoon, along with my triple chunk brownies. We all took turns napping throughout the day. It was nice and relaxing. They hadn't seen The Office before, so we pulled up some episodes from the DVR and laughed away. As the evening came, Shay wanted to play a game since she reads about all the gaming we do. We pulled out Pirates Cove. They picked it up pretty fast and we were off to battle in no time. Out of 12 rounds, we only had 1 that was peaceful. No one attempted Blackbeard but Kate did run into the royal navy courtesy of Erin. I stripped a point from Erin which allowed Kate and Shay to win, it was a true tie. Then we pulled out Apples to Apples, they liked that one a lot. The first one to 8 wins. We were all pretty close, Erin 6, Kate 7, Shay 7 & myself 7. Shay pulled out the clincher in the end to win 8 cards.

We pulled out the Hookah with double apple. Pretty tasty but the Hookah had some trouble. So we sat around the patio and watched all the animals run around. Howie was quite interested in the Hookah. We had to pick up our dogs from my parents house, so the 4 dogs were still getting used to one another. Surprisingly, Princess Zoey was pretty good. Poor Miss Bella was having some troubling adjusting. Piper sat in the corner like a wallflower and Emma G smiled from Shay's lap.

Sunday morning we headed out to IHOP, enjoyed our last conversation of the weekend and said our goodbyes from a Motel 6 parking lot. We really hated to see them go. All weekend Erin and I were not looking forward to them leaving. Hopefully, a year won't pass before we see them again.

Good luck on the rest of your trip girls... we miss you!
